It’s relatively obvious that Arsenal need a big goalscorer this summer.
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang culled and Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract in June, strikers are top of the agenda for Mikel Arteta and Edu at Arsenal.
And if rumours are to be believed, the Gunners have their eye on a massive player.
Well, in terms of physical size anyway.
Gianluca Scamacca has been linked with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks.
However, FC Inter News have now reported that Arsenal have made contact with Sassuolo to sign the towering figure.
Enormous
The North Londoners were heavily linked with a certain Dusan Vlahovic during the January transfer window.
But Scamacca is even bigger – again, going by height.
According to Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old is a whopping 6’5 tall – two inches taller than Vlahovic and one inch higher than Erling Haaland [Bundesliga].
This is a supreme physical specimen and fortunately for Arsenal, he’s not bad at scoring goals either.
Thirteen goals in 28 Serie A appearances this season [Transfermarkt] underlines his nous up front and when surrounded by better players, which he would be at the Gunners, his record in front of goal will surely improve.
