The Paraguayan would be a shock signing from the Gunners.
Miguel Almiron
Reports in Italy are suggesting that Arsenal are closing in on the signature of Miguel Almiron of Lanus in Argentina.
TuttoMercatoWeb report in an exclusive that Arsenal are looking into spending €13 million (£11.1 million) on the player before the transfer window closes.
Miguel Almiron
The 22-year-old is a Paraguayan international who plays predominantly as an attacking midfielder.
He joined the Argentine side last August, after an incredible season with Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno.
He has just one cap for the Paraguay national team so if Arsenal were to sign him it would seem unlikely he would be rewarded a work permit, and would likely be loaned out by the club.

The move would see Arsenal making another big-money transfer in the market.
Arsenal are believed to be on the cusp of signing Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez from Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna respectively in the coming days.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Almiron featured in 17 games for the Argentine club last season and Arsenal’s move will certainly come as a surprise.
But clearly Arsene Wenger and his staff have seen something special in the Paraguayan.
