According to L’Equipe, Marseille defender Jordan Amavi is set to commit his future to the club by signing a new deal.
It’s claimed that Amavi had contact with Arsenal and Crystal Palace given that he was set to become a free agent this summer.
Both sides want a left back; Arsenal fancy adding competition for Kieran Tierney, whilst Patrick van Aanholt is set to leave Palace at the end of his deal.
Amavi had been targeted by both sides for a bargain summer move, as he has been able to sign a pre-contract agreement since January.
However, neither side have seemingly done enough to turn Amavi’s head, and he is now going to stay with Marseille instead.
The 27-year-old will allegedly pen his new deal this weekend, and commit to signing a three or four-year deal to stay with the Ligue 1 side.

Formerly of Aston Villa, Amavi didn’t have the best time in the Premier League the first time around, and that may have left some fans worried about signing him this summer.
With this new deal though, Arsenal and Palace must go back to the drawing board and find other left backs to target.
