According to Soccerlink, Chelsea have made reported Arsenal target Layvin Kurzawa a top transfer target this summer as Emerson wants to leave.

The Paris Saint-Germain fullback is out of contract this summer.

PSG sporting director told Le Journal du Dimanche how Kurzawa will depart the club.

Kurzawa has been linked with several clubs. However, a report by Spanish editorial Sport claims the defender favours a move to Arsenal over fellow suitors.

The Gunners desperately need to improve their defence this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s side have returned to Premier League action with defeats at Manchester City and Brighton and Hove Albion, conceding five goals.

Arsenal’s chances of finishing in the top four this summer are all-but over. Their fall has come as a result of poor recruitment and a notable lack of leadership.

Kurzawa, available on a free transfer, is a potential bargain this summer. He reportedly earns £100,000 per week at PSG, having featured heavily prior to Thomas Tuchel’s arrival.

The 27-year-old is a France international whose best years are arguably still ahead.

But if Arsenal are to make a move, then the Gunners must act swiftly.

The latest reports from France claim Chelsea see him as an ideal option due to his low cost.

The Blues also have Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and Alex Telles on their list. But Kurzawa is the cheapest option with the most experience at the top level.
