Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is interested in signing Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven, SoccerNews in Holland say.
Malen actually left Arsenal as a youngster in search of more first-team football and his decision has been vindicated now.
The striker, who idolises Thierry Henry (90 Minutes), has turned into a prolific scorer with PSV, and Arsenal are now taking a keen interest in the striker’s progress.
Indeed, the latest reports say that Arteta would be keen to take him at the Emirates Stadium, if PSV decided they were willing to listen to offers.
Arsenal are yet to really find a goalscoring number nine, with much of their threat coming down the left-flank from Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah have both been used in the striking role by Arsenal, but there is a feeling that Malen could be an upgrade on either.

The 21-year-old, who was once said to be ‘a bit like Alexis Sanchez’ by his former coach Brian Tevreden (FourFourTwo), has hit the back of the net 21 times in the last two seasons.
And if he could recreate those sorts of figures at the Emirates Stadium, then he would be a very welcome addition to Arsenal’s squad.
