According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have entered the running for Tottenham Hotspur target James Maddison.

Arsenal are keen to add quality to their squad after failing to make the top four this season, and they have asked Leicester City about taking Maddison.

The Daily Mirror have suggested that Spurs are also in the hunt for the playmaker, who has seriously impressed this season.

Leicester have told both Tottenham and Arsenal that they want at least £60 million for the attacking midfielder, who has had a very impressive first season in the Premier League.

Maddison scored seven goals and claimed seven assists for Leicester in his first campaign in the top flight.

Both Tottenham and Arsenal now believe he would improve their attacking line-ups, with a battle starting across north London for his services.

Tottenham may hold an upper hand right now, as Arsenal don’t have the funds to buy Maddison until they sell players, after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
