Arsenal are showing an interest in signing Vasco da Game talent Eguinaldo with Edu now seemingly eyeing another Brazilian talent.

The Gunners had a very successful dip into the Brazilian market by signing Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano in 2019.

We’re now used to seeing Brazilian talents linked with Arsenal as Edu – a former Brazil international himself – will surely be keeping tabs on prospects in his homeland.

There have been prominent links to wonderkid Vitor Roque of late – and another Brazilian talent can be added to the mix.

Torcedores in Brazil report that Arsenal now have Vasco da Gama talent Eguinaldo on their transfer wish list.

It’s claimed that Arsenal have sent scout Jonathan Vidalle – formerly of Boca Juniors – to go and find top talents from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.

A number of players are now on the Arsenal radar and Eguinaldo appears to be one of them.

Arsenal target Eguinaldo has attracted other Premier League interest

Eguinaldo has already played first-team football for Vasco da Gama at the age of just 18.

Primarily a left-sided winger, Eguinaldo has scored three times in 25 first-team appearances for Vasco.

There appears to be belief that Eguinaldo can become a star of the future and Arsenal aren’t alone in this transfer race.

West Ham United have been very interested in landing the teenage wide man.

Vasco Noticias reported in October that West Ham sent a scout to watch Eguinaldo ahead of a potential offer.

Atencao Vascaínos even suggested that West Ham’s head of recruitment Rob Newman visited Vasco’s training ground with Eguinaldo in mind.

Canal do Pedrosa’s Ruann de Lima also claimed in October that Newcastle United had registered an interest in signing Eguinaldo.

If Arsenal do make a move for Eguinaldo, they may well spark Newcastle and West Ham info life over the teenager – and we could see a three-way battle for the Brazilian talent.
