According to Sport1, Arsenal are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby, who is also wanted by Newcastle and Liverpool.

What’s the story?

Well, this would be quite the signing for Arsenal, although Newcastle and Liverpool will presumably make Edu’s pursuit difficult.

Sport1 Chief Reporter Patrick Berger broke the news, where he added that Diaby doesn’t have a release clause in his contract.

Elsewhere, it was Calciomercato who revealed that Liverpool are tracking the Frenchman.

Berger adds that Bayer Leverkusen want €60m (£51m) for their dynamic winger, who is quickly becoming one of Europe’s most exciting talents.

Interestingly, Berger also claims that the Bundesliga outfit have already identified a replacement for Diaby in Roma’s Carles Pérez.

He also states that Manchester United are keen to sign the Paris-born sensation.

Arsenal must beat Newcastle and Liverpool to Moussa Diaby

Every club would love to uncover the next gem of European football, and in Diaby, there is a world class player just waiting to explode.

The France international already has 16 goals and nine assists in 33 appearances this season, which is an exceptional return for a winger.

It comes after Diaby scored ten goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions last season, so he’s clearly progressing well.

Aged just 22, he would slot in seamlessly amongst Mikel Arteta’s other Under-23 gems such as Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli.

Add Diaby to that trio, and the Gunners would arguably have the most exciting attacking quartet in the Premier League, all with time on their side to get even better.
