Arsenal are continuing talks with Inter Milan over a potential deal to sign striker Lautaro Martinez – and have a real chance of signing him.
That’s according to Eurosport’s Dean Jones, who claims that the club are continuing negotiations after Arsenal registered their interest in a deal.
Martinez is considered to be open to making a move to the Premier League, and Arsenal are the only club to be making a formal approach.
Inter want around £65million for Martinez, and Jones told The Football Terrace that there really is a deal to be done if Arsenal want the Argentinian.
Jones does though add that Tottenham could make a move for Martinez if Harry Kane leaves the club, meaning Arsenal may need to move quickly.
Martinez, 23, hit 17 league goals last season, and his record with Inter now stands at 49 goals in 132 games, with his league tally improving by the year.

Praised as ‘very complete’ by Lionel Messi, Martinez also has 14 goals in 29 games for Argentina and would be a hugely exciting addition for Arsenal.
Tottenham are a major threat to Arsenal’s hopes, especially if they receive a Harry Kane windfall, and Edu would be smart to accelerate talks for Martinez now – even if the money involved is huge.
