Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Crystal Palace central defender Marc Guehi.

Journalist Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Marc Guehi from London and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

The journalist has claimed that Arsenal have made the defender “a prime candidate” to sign in the summer of 2023.

However, Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are posing a problem.

Jones has claimed that Tottenham “have also had recruitment staff looking at the situation this season as they look to improve their own options at the back for next term”.

The reporter has added that Palace will want more than £50 million to sell the 22-year-old England international central defender, described as “an exciting talent” by Eagles chairman Steve Parish on the club’s official website in July 2021.

Arsenal over Tottenham Hotspur for Marc Guehi

In our view, Arsenal need not worry about the threat posed by Tottenham Hotspur in regard to signing Marc Guehi.

We believe that the youngster would choose Arsenal over Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Yes, Spurs are a big club, but they are not going to play in the UEFA Champions League next season and are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title in the coming years.

Arsenal almost won the Premier League title this season.

Under manager Mikel Arteta, the Gunners are going places and have a very young and vibrant team.

Guehi would fit perfectly in at Arsenal.
