Arsenal will have to pay at least £25 million to sign Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City in the January transfer window, according to Eurosport.

It has been reported that Buendia is on the radar of Arsenal, who are on the hunt for a new creative midfielder.

Although Championship club Norwich want to keep hold of the 24-year-old attacking midfielder, the Canaries will sell, but only if they are offered at least £25 million.

Football.London reported in December of interest from Arsenal in the Argentine, described as “a technical player, full of creativity and he has lots of potential” by Norwich manager Daniel Farke on the club’s official website in June 2018.

Would Emiliano Buendia make Arsenal better?

With Mesut Ozil not in the Arsenal squad at the moment, the North London club could do with a creative midfielder.

Buendia may be playing in the Championship this season, but he did relatively well in the Premier League in 2019-20 and could make the Gunners better, not just now, but in the long term as well as he is 24 years of age.

According to WhoScored, the Argentine has scored six goals and provided six assists in 18 Championship matches so far this season, and scored one goal and gave seven assists in 28 Premier League starts in 2019-20.
