Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have reportedly made a move to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are interested in signing Kai Havertz from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Arsenal have “submitted” a “first proposal” and are in contact with both Chelsea and Havertz, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward.
The Athletic have reported that although Chelsea want to tie down Havertz to a new contract, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will “sell him for what they deem an acceptable price”.
Football Transfers have claimed that the £150,000-a-week (SalarySport) forward is willing to move to Arsenal and has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners.

Could Arsenal sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea?
In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
That the Gunners are in talks with the 24-year-old and with the Blues shows that there is an willingness on all sides to get a deal done.
Now, of course, Arsenal will have meet Chelsea’s demands, and it will be interesting to see how much the North London club are willing to pay for Havertz, who played for much of last season as a forward for the Blues.
Havertz made 30 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea last season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in the process.
