Arsenal have been heavily linked with Athletico-PR wonderkid Vitor Roque in recent months.
Goal Brasil reported in February that the Gunners were in the race for the 18-year-old alongside the likes of Barcelona.
They also claimed Edu Gaspar made contact with the player’s entourage to learn more about his current situation.

More recently, Spanish outlet Sport – via Sport Witness – pointed out how Roque’s father, Juvenal Ferreira, was in London.
Apparently, the player’s entourage ‘doesn’t want to leave aside’ the offers from the Premier League, despite seemingly favouring Barca.
The Sport story named Arsenal and Chelsea as clubs who follow him ‘from close’.
In addition, the report said Juvenal Ferreira also visited Paris Saint-Germain and was looking to visit Barcelona.
Now, Globo Esporte – via Sport Witness – has provided an update on the situation regarding Arsenal and Roque.
The player’s father and representatives have indeed spoken to Arsenal while in London, claimed the report.
Globo Esporte say no bids are on the table for the £37million-rated prodigy now.
However, Barca and two Premier League sides have apparently promised their offers are arriving in summer.
Can Arsenal land the ‘new Aguero?’
Arsenal’s Brazilian links mean the Gunners will surely fancy their chances of signing Roque.
However, competition for the player is strong, with other elite players also in the race.
If Arsenal manage to sign Roque, they’d be getting themselves an outstanding talent.
He has already made more than 50 competitive senior appearances for Athletico and former club Cruzeiro.
Meanwhile, his tally with Brazil’s Under-20s reads 11 games, six goals.

Scouting outlet Breaking the Lines recently compared Roque to Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez.
‘From the title of the article (Vitor Roque: The New Aguero?), I guess you can tell where this is going,’ they wrote.
‘The player that I mostly look at when I see Vitor Roque is Sergio Aguero. The ability to finish in various different ways, the frame, the physique.
‘The only thing that could arguably even make him a little better is the fact that Vitor is faster and has much more work rate.
‘But then again it has to be noted Aguero had a couple of knee injuries when at Atletico and then at City that definitely affected him.’
