Arsenal still have doubts over Alexandre Lacazette despite his improvements of late, CBS report.

Lacazette has now notched three times in his last three games, but apparently the Frenchman has not done enough to convince the Arsenal hierarchy that he is the man to trust in their number nine role.

Lacazette made a very slow start to the campaign, and it seems that Arsenal could opt to go for a more youthful option up-front next term.

Arsenal would be unlikely to recoup the £46 million (BBC Sport) they spent on Lacazette if they sold him now, but he could still command a sizeable fee, especially if he keeps on scoring at his current rate.

That money could well be invested into finding a replacement, with Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard and RB Salzburg’s Patson Daka reportedly already being lined up as alternatives.

Edouard and Daka are far less proven then Lacazette and could be risky signings for Arsenal, but their potential looks to be extremely exciting.

Edouard has scored prolifically throughout his time in Scotland, while Daka’s pace has frightened defences in Austria and across Europe, when Salzburg have played in the Champions League.

Daka would certainly offer Arsenal more speed up-front, and with Bukayo Saka, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Martinelli already at the club, they would have one of the fastest front-lines in the Premier League if he was to join.
