According to The Times, Arsenal have denied rumours that they want to sign free agent Diego Costa – but they do seem to want Real Madrid’s Isco.
AS claimed on Monday that Arsenal were in the market for Costa, and were waiting for Atletico Madrid’s decision on his future.
Atletico released Costa from his contract on Tuesday, meaning he can now move on and join another club on a free transfer, six months ahead of his deal ending.
However, it’s now stated that Arsenal have communicated that Costa is not on their list of targets for January, even on a free transfer.
The report suggests that Arsenal are though keen on Isco, who cost Real £23million to sign him Malaga back in 2013.
Arsenal need creativity in the January transfer window, and Isco could well provide that from the number 10 role.

Isco, 28, has played just 10 La Liga games this season, registering just the one assist in a disappointing campaign.
The Spaniard needs to be playing first-team football, and Arsenal could offer him that in January – but don’t expect former Spain teammate Costa to join him in North London.
