According to Voetbal24, Arsenal are determined to beat others to the signing of Club Brugge forward Noa Lang in January.

What’s the story?

Well, the Gunners are believed to be huge admirers of the Dutchman.

Voetbal24‘s report comes after Lang made his international debut for the Netherlands, following an exceptional 2020/21 campaign in Belgium.

The Arsenal target scored 17 goals and provided 11 assists in 38 games last season, which is simply stunning.

Lang has picked up where he left off last season with four goals and four assists in 13 appearances this term.

Voetbal24 believe Club Brugge want €40m (£33.9m) for their No.10, although Arsenal are said to be preparing an offer worth €30m (£25.4m).

Only time will tell if the Jupiler Pro League side deem that to be an acceptable offer.

What can Noa Lang offer Arsenal?

As aforesaid, Lang has only just made his international debut, so he’s far from a household name across Europe.

In that respect, you may not know much about him, so a comparison would be helpful.

Interestingly, the 22-year-old has been compared to Neymar by his own agent, Bart Baving.

Speaking to Calciomercato, Baving said: “Noa is Noa, he has always had this type of playing style. He always works hard and has excellent technique, dribbling and vision. He is also an excellent decision maker and a neat finisher. He is also a generous player, anything but selfish. I’ve heard a lot of people say he looks like Neymar, especially after the PSG match.”

You only need to watch Lang play once and you’ll end up making the comparison yourself – even the way he moves mirrors Neymar.

If Mikel Arteta can get his hands on the Dutchman, Arsenal’s frontline would receive an injection of immense quality.

Additionally, Lang still has plenty of time to get even better at just 22.

In our view, the north Londoners must push hard to sign Lang in January.

If Edu and Arteta hesitate, they risk the flamboyant forward increasing his value with more eye-catching displays.
