According to The Sunday Mirror (31/05, p68), Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has now linked up with Mikel Arteta’s agent.

It’s claimed that Fraser has left long-term agent Jon McLeish ahead of becoming a free agent this summer.

The Scot has decided to work with Paul Martin instead. The interesting note is that Martin also represents Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

Earlier this week, the Daily Mail stated that Arsenal were ‘confident’ of securing Fraser’s signature when his Bournemouth contract ends.

This comes despite links to North London rivals Tottenham. The Mirror claimed just a fortnight ago that Fraser wanted to join Spurs.

However, the Arsenal links are returning, and arguably growing stronger with these claims about Fraser switching agent.

Being represented by somebody with strong links to Arsenal and their manager can only help Fraser, and maybe this is exactly why the Gunners are thought to be confident of a deal.

The 26-year-old winger has only hit one goal and four assists this season, but was a star last term with seven goals and 14 assists.

Fraser becomes a free agent this summer, and Arsenal will be hoping to get him back to his best form if he does make the move to join Arteta in North London.
