Arsenal were linked with a move for Daniele Rugani earlier this week.
According to TuttoJuve, the Gunners were keen to swap Hector Bellerin in exchange for the Juventus centre-back.
Swap deals could be a lot more common among European clubs this summer due to the global health crisis wreaking havoc on many teams’ finances.
But this one isn’t going to materialise for Arsenal, according to a report.
Calciomercato in Italy have reported that the North Londoners and Juve have failed to reach an agreement in regards to Rugani, who has won five Scudetti titles in Turin.
The report adds that the Italian champions have also made no progress in their attempts to lure Alexandre Lacazette from the Emirates Stadium.
And in truth, Arsenal don’t need Rugani, especially if a report about Gabriel Magalhaes is accurate.
The Londoners are widely believed to be closing in on a deal to sign the Lille centre-back and, with William Saliba coming back this summer, and Mikel Arteta boasting many other central-defensive options, there’s little need for the Italian.
