According to the London Evening Standard, Arsenal are eyeing a late January loan move for Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid.

The young midfielder has long been tipped to be the next great midfield superstar at Los Blancos, but with the old guard of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos refusing to give up just yet, the 20-year-old has been struggling for gametime at the Bernabeu.

Arsenal want to take the midfielder on loan until the end of the season, and, to be honest, this is a move that could work for all parties.

The Gunners get an immensely talented midfielder to help them in their title charge – Camavinga could potentially even be a starter, while Madrid get to send one of their brightest young talents to work with one of the most promising managers in world football. Meanwhile, Camavinga himself gets a taste of the Premier League and potentially a league winners’ medal if all goes to plan.

Make no mistake about it, Camavinga is a special player. There’s a reason Real Madrid snapped him up as a teenager. He’s got all of the talent in the world.

Paul Pogba even went as far as to say that Camavinga was ‘like Kylian Mbappe’ due to how mature he is for his age, and on top of everything else, he’s versatile.

He can play in any midfield role, while he showed at the World Cup for France that he can also put in a serious shift at left-back.

Arsenal have already signed Leandro Trossard and they look to be closing in on the signing of Jakub Kiwior, but this may well be the best new signing the north London club makes this month if they can get this one over the line.
