Arsenal are reportedly eyeing Boca Juniors star, with Leeds United’s chances

As recently as two months ago, Leeds United were linked with making a spectacular summer move for Uruguay international Nahitan Nandez.
Tuttomercatoweb reported the Whites were keen on signing the Boca Juniors star and ready to compete with Serie A sides for his transfer.
Leeds’ promotion dream going up in smoke has seemingly put paid to their chances, and now Arsenal could be in for him instead.
South American outlet TNT Sports report Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Boca in action and Nandez is at the top of their list of targets, seeing him as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey.

The Gunners signed Nandez’s international teammate Lucas Torreira last summer.
Leeds’ chances of landing Nandez always depended on promotion to the Premier League. With that failed, he is not only out of their price range, but he would not consider a Championship switch either.
If the 23-year-old does indeed land up in England with Arsenal, it will only highlight what the Whites have missed out on.
