Arsenal fear missing out on Alexandre Lacazette despite reports suggesting a deal is close.
Confusion reigns over Arsenal’s move for Alexandre Lacazette, with The Mirror reporting they could miss out on the striker.
According to The Telegraph, the Lyon ace is on the verge of a £52 million move to the Gunners.
Yet a report in The Mirror claims Arsenal fear Lacazette could still opt to sign with Atletico Madrid due to his desire to play with Antoine Griezmann.
The report states: “A deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette seems far from done as the striker wants to join up with close friend Antoine Griezmann at Atletico Madrid.
“The pair are on holiday with their families in Los Angeles and are due back later this week.”

Lacazette had a move to Atletico agreed before the Spanish side were slapped with a six month transfer ban by UEFA.
The Frenchman would be ineligible to play for Atletico until January. By that time the La Liga side could be in the Champions League knockout stages.

He could decide to wait it out, but Arsenal should still be confident they can persuade him.
Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas told French outlet Le Progres yesterday: “Alexandre Lacazette’s transfer to Arsenal could be actioned within the next day or two.”
The striker may have different ideas, but The Mirror’s report is a reminder it is not done yet.
