Arsenal are still interested in Brentford’s David Raya, even though Runar Alex Runarsson is set to arrive, the Telegraph report.
Arsenal are about to announce the signing of Runarsson, who should cover for the departure of Emiliano Martinez.
The Gunners have agreed a £1.5 million fee for the Icelandic stopper, as they seek to add more depth in their goalkeeping department.
Arsenal have also been heavily linked with Brentford’s David Raya, but there were fears that he would miss out on his dream move to the Emirates Stadium with Runarsson now set to join.
However, the Telegraph say that isn’t the case – and Arsenal would still welcome the wantaway Championship goalkeeper with open arms.
Arsenal are struggling to do a deal at the moment as Brentford are refusing to lower their asking price to below £10 million.

But the Daily Mail have suggested that Raya could take matters into his own hands and force through a move to the North London club by handing in a transfer request, such is his desire to join Mikel Arteta’s side.
Raya is more proven than Runarsson in English football and would likely arrive as second choice.
But Arsenal are no longer desperate for another goalkeeper, and it seems unlikely that they will pay over the odds to land him from Brentford.
