Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal would have to pay £60 million for Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal want to sign Joao Cancelo from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
Defending champions City are keen on securing the services of Arsenal and Scotland international left-back Kieran Tierney in the summer of 2023.
Tierney himself is open to moving to City, who are now very likely to beat the Gunners to the Premier League title this season.
Football Transfers have reported that City value Cancelo, described as “outstanding” by former Citizens star Paul Dickov, at £60 million.
The £180,000-a-week (SalarySport) Portugal international, who can operate as a full-back or as a wing-back, is on loan at Bayern Munich at the moment.
Cancelo moved to German giants Bayern on loan from City in the January transfer window.

Joao Cancelo – Kieran Tierney swap deal between Manchester City and Arsenal ideal
In our view, it would make sense for Arsenal and Manchester City to hammer out a swap deal involving Joao Cancelo and Kieran Tierney.
That City manager Pep Guardiola decided to send Cancelo out on loan in the middle of the season suggests that the former Barcelona boss is not keen on having him in his squad anymore.
Tierney has lost his place in the Arsenal starting lineup, and the former Celtic left-back is unlikely to even regain it.
If City want him and Arsenal and Tierney are willing for the transfer to happen, then the two clubs should get a deal done and also get Cancelo involved.
It would be the best deal for all parties concerned.
