According to The Mirror, Arsenal now face a battle to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma after Leicester City joined the race.
It’s claimed that Brendan Rodgers wants to pair Bissouma with Wilfred Ndidi in midfield next season, adding competition for Youri Tielemans.
Leicester hope to convince Bissouma to make the move to the King Power Stadium by being able to promise Champions League football next season.
Arsenal want to sign Bissouma though, and offer a very appealing option given that the midfielder is a boyhood Gunners fan.
Mikel Arteta allegedly wants him to join Thomas Partey in the Arsenal midfield, with the player’s agent recently confirming their interest.
This could now be a major battle for Bissouma, with Brighton no doubt hoping for a major bidding war between the two interest clubs.

The 24-year-old has impressed this season, and whilst he has only scored once in 27 league games, he has managed to control games in the Brighton midfield.
His ball-carrying ability could be appealing to many Premier League clubs, but Arsenal would surely be kicking themselves if they manage to miss out on a boyhood Gunners fan.
