As per a report by 90 Min, Inter Milan may be resigned to losing Arsenal target Milan Skriniar, as his contract deadline has passed.
A brief rundown of the recent transfer speculation
Nerazzurri CEO Giuseppe Marotta recently told the press, as relayed by Sempre Inter that the club were “optimistic” about tying the sought-after defender to a new deal before 13th November.
FootMercato had also claimed that after months of speculation, the Slovakian international was ready to prolong his stay at Inter, instead of leaving on a free transfer in the summer.
Despite L’Equipe’s report about Paris Saint-Germain also showing an interest in signing the 27-year old, it was emphasised that the Serie A giants were keen on ensuring that their in-demand centre-back stays put at the club.

By the looks of said revelations, it seemed as if Arsenal would have to look elsewhere, with their dreams of bringing in Milan Skriniar, who signed for an initial €20 million (£16 million) fee (BeSoccer) all but over.
However, a fresh update has emerged as a pleasant surprise for the Premier League heavyweights.
Skriniar could depart Inter after contract deadlines passes
As mentioned earlier, 90 Min have reported that talks with Milan Skriniar over signing a contract renewal have not come to an end.
But the Serie A giants are now aware that ever since the self-imposed contract deadline has passed, clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal will be preparing bids to sign the former Sampdoria talisman.
The Gunners have reportedly expressed an interest in Skriniar, along with a number of other top clubs.
It has been mentioned that other Premier League sides such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are also in contact with the player’s agent regarding his future at Inter.
Furthermore, the interest in Skriniar also exists outside of the English top-flight.
However, Simone Inzaghi’s side have maintained talks with one of their biggest names, as they are hell-bent on ensuring that he stays at the club beyond this season.
While it is unsurprising to note that Inter wish to keep Milan Skriniar at the club, Arsenal will have their eyes and ears open about any upcoming developments in the situation.
