According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have made an enquiry for Everton defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye and are hoping to beat Paris Saint-Germain to the signature of the former Aston Villa star on January transfer deadline day.

It has also been reported that Arsenal are confident of persuading Gueye to move to the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window.

The Gunners are also willing to meet the Toffees’ demand of £40 million as transfer fee for the defensive midfielder, although the first instalment of the payment will not be made until August, according to the report.

Good move for Idrissa Gueye?
