Members on Arsenal’s board are said to be huge admirers of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, senior figures at Arsenal believe that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino would be the perfect replacement for Arsene Wenger.
Wenger’s future has been called into sharp focus this week, following the Gunners’ heavy defeat against Bayern Munich.
Arsenal were beaten 5-1 by the German giants in the Champions League, and Wenger was left visibly crestfallen after the contest.
The experienced French manager is now reportedly considering his future at the Emirates Stadium, with his contract set to expire in the summer.

And Arsenal chiefs are already making plans to replace Wenger, with Pochettino one of the names that has been discussed.
Although there is surely no chance that any deal could take place between Arsenal and Tottenham, the Argentine boss does have his admirers within the Gunners’ set-up.
The North London rivals are not expected to make any approach for Pochettino, though.
At the moment, Massimilliano Allegri is considered the favourite to take over at Arsenal, if Wenger does leave.
