Arsenal will be able to go after Thomas Partey and Dominik Szoboszlai if they make the Champions League, according to the Guardian

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen in the transfer window, but the Gunners are seemingly operating on a limited budget as things stand.

If Arsenal fail to make it into the Champions League then Arteta may have to deal with searching for bargains in his first transfer window in management.

However, if Arsenal do finish in the top four, then the Guardian suggests that they could invest heavily in their midfield.

Arteta’s interest in Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey is widely known now, but the Gunners could also make a move for Szoboszlai.

The 19-year-old Hungarian is tipped to be the next talent to emerge from Red Bull Salzburg, where he has impressed this season.

Despite still only being a teenager, Szoboszlai has played regularly and racked up nine goals and 13 assists in 34 games across all competitions.

If Arsenal are to sign Szoboszlai he would bring energy and dynamism to their midfield and join an exciting crop of youngsters at the Emirates Stadium.

According to Calcio Mercato, Arsenal would have to pay £22 million to bring the wonderkid to North London.
