According to Le10 Sport, Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes will now decide between joining Arsenal or Napoli after both had bids accepted.

It’s claimed that Arsenal and Napoli have both offered around €30million (£27million) for Gabriel, including ‘various bonuses’.

Lille have accepted both offers, meaning Gabriel must now decide between the two clubs in the coming days.

Manchester United appear to be moving on to Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile for their new centre back target, whilst Everton look to be lagging behind.

Lille have admitted that Gabriel is on his way out, but his next club hasn’t been known so far – and Arsenal fans will have real hope that he will be North London-bound.

The Gunners already have William Saliba joining up with the squad this summer, but adding a left-footed centre back should be a priority.

Gabriel fits the bill, whilst he has real potential at the age of just 22. He is big and strong at 6ft 3in tall, and could form a partnership with Saliba for many years.

Napoli have been leading the race for some time though, so beating them to Gabriel’s signature could be difficult – even if they have matched their bid.
