According to TF1, Arsenal have made a bid of €80 million (£71.97m) for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, meaning that both Liverpool and Everton will have to up their game.

It has been reported by the French outlet that Lille have made note of the offer from Arsenal for the 24-year-old winger, who is claimed to prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but has not yet made a decision on his future.

This latest report means that Liverpool and Everton now have to up their game in their reported pursuit of the Ivory Coast international winger.

The Telegraph has reported of interest in Pepe from Everton, while Le10 Sport has claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the winger to Anfield this summer and loves him.

If Arsenal have made an offer of €80m (£71.97m) for Pepe, then it sets the bar high for the Reds and the Toffees.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool or Everton outbid Arsenal for the winger. One thing is clear, though – Lille are the biggest winners from all of this.
