According to the Mirror, Alexandre Lacazette has emerged as a summer transfer target for AS Monaco.
The French striker has spent a number of seasons in Ligue 1 before joining the Gunners, and it seems as though the 29-year-old could be on his way back to France’s top division in the summer.
Lacazette’s future has been up in the air for quite some time now, with his contract ticking down.
Fans thought they had spotted a sign he was staying at the club earlier this week, but with reports circulating that the Gunners are open to selling him, it seems as though a move could be on the horizon.
With just one year left on his deal, Monaco could land the striker for a cut-price fee, but it remains to be seen whether or not a move comes to fruition.
Mikel Arteta spoke about the possibility of giving the attacker a new contract in his press conference on Friday, but the Gunners seemingly won’t be short of suitors if they do decide they want to part ways with the France international.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months as Lacazette’s contract enters its final year.
