According to a report by Corriere della Sera (via Tutto Juve), Arsenal are ready to sign former Tottenham target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in January.
Tuttosport had previously reported (via Sempre Milan) that Lazio were willing to sell the silky midfielder, valued at £67 million to Spurs.
Furthermore, a revelation by La Lazio Siamo Noi had even suggested that both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici wanted the player to join the club.
However, the move failed to get over the line.
The Serbian international decided to stay in Italy and is currently enjoying a fine season in Serie A.
With 3 goals and 7 assists to his name in 13 starts, Milinkovic-Savic has been in brilliant form so far this campaign.

The Gunners are eyeing Milinkovic-Savic addition in 2023
As reported by Corriere della Sera (via Tutto Juve), Arsenal aim to go “all in” to sign former Tottenham target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old, who has been happy to stay at the club would consider an exit if the Premier League side signal their intention to sign him.
With the Lazio talisman set to enter the final year of his contract, the league leaders could perhaps sign him on a cheaper deal than was the case when Spurs were close to adding him to their ranks.
Arsenal should sign Milinkovic-Savic in January, but for the right price
The report did not mention the valuation in place for Mikel Arteta’s side to sign Milinkovic-Savic.
However, the in-form midfielder, tipped to surpass Frank Lampard by ex-Chelsea man and agent Mateja Kezman (via Mozzart Sport and relayed by Football Transfers) would be a welcome addition for a side that needs depth in the middle of the park.
Especially considering how the Gunners are in a title race.
With Fabio Vieira playing limited minutes and Emile Smith-Rowe largely being injured this season, a potential injury to Martin Odegaard could derail the club’s season.
The Serb is capable of both providing cover as a No.10, whilst also functioning deeper.
However, Arsenal should only sign the former Tottenham target in January if the price is right.
