According to Goal, Arsenal are interested in Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The Belgian has been shining in the Premier League for the past three years at Leicester, and as he enters the final 18 months of his contract, it seems as though he could be on the move.
Indeed, Arsenal have reportedly even held talks with his agents at London Colney about a potential switch to the Emirates.
At the age of just 24, Tielemans’ best years could still be ahead of him, and that’s a truly frightening prospect.
The Foxes star has already established himself as one of the Premier League’s top midfielders, and his goal in last season’s FA Cup final will undoubtedly go down as one of the all-time great strikes in the world’s most famous cup competition.
Interestingly, Arsenal were told to sign Tielemans by Ian Wright way back in 2019 after the Belgian’s initial loan spell with Leicester.
“Then there is Youri Tielemans. He came over from Monaco. He’s on loan at Leicester City and he’s someone that – well there are loads of teams linked with him – but he’s someone that you’d want to have,” Wright said to The Mirror.

Unfortunately, the Gunners didn’t heed Wrighty’s advice at the time and Tielemans would go on to establish himself at the King Power Stadium, but now, three years on, the Gunners could swoop for the 24-year-old.
The midfielder certainly won’t come cheaply. After all, Leicester did pay £40m for his services when they initially signed him, and after consistent good performances, the East Midlands club would, rightly, want a decent return on their investment.
