Arsenal’s talks for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves are expected to ‘accelerate’ in the coming days, with Granit Xhaka departing – according to Goal.com.
Arsenal have an interest in signing Neves from Wolves, although his £35 million price-tag is said to be an issue currently.
The Gunners may want that to be reduced before considering signing the Portuguese international, although Wolves are said to be open to a sale.
At the moment talks are just beginning, but Arsenal’s interest will step up imminently, the latest update suggests.
That is because Mikel Arteta’s side are set to sell Granit Xhaka to Roma.
Once they have raised enough funds for Xhaka that should boost their transfer budget, which will then be re-invested.

Is Neves an upgrade?
The idea of effectively selling Xhaka and quickly replacing him Neves, is one which has caused some debate among Arsenal fans.
The pair are actually fairly similar in styles, but Neves would likely cost more than what Arsenal will raise for Xhaka.
That being said, Neves, who was once described as ‘world class’ by Wolves legend Steve Bull (Express and Star), is considerably younger than the Swiss international and the Gunners will hope he can be a slightly more effective partner for Thomas Partey, if he does sign.
