According to the Daily Star, Christian Eriksen isn’t keen on a return to the Premier League amid links to Arsenal and West Ham.
Why? Well, the Daily Star state that the Denmark international is reluctant to return to England with his tail between his legs.
It is said that Eriksen would require a lot of convincing to realise that a return to England’s top-flight would not represent an admission of failure.
The former Ajax maestro made his desire to leave Tottenham crystal clear last year, before finally sealing a £16.9 million move to Inter Milan in January.
However, life at the San Siro has been difficult for the 103-cap Denmark international.
In 38 appearances for the Italian giants, Eriksen has managed just four goals and three assists.
So far this season, he has zero goal involvements in 12 games under Conte.
Eurosport revealed that West Ham are keen on the Danish playmaker, while it was ESPN who said that Arsenal had been offered the chance to sign him.
While both of the London sides can provide a good opportunity for the 28-year-old to resurrect his career, you can understand his reluctance.
He is yet to spend a full year in Italy, and leaving so quickly to return to England would certainly look like he’s realised the grass isn’t always greener elsewhere.
However, in our view, Eriksen shouldn’t worry about how a move back to the Premier League would look on him.
He needs to swallow his pride and do what is best for the sake of his career.
