According to L’Equipe, Arsenal and Watford are both tracking Toulouse youngster Alban Lafont.

The 17-year-old is highly rated in French football having made his debut for the club aged just 16 years old last season.

That saw him become the youngest goalkeeper to ever play in Ligue 1 and the second-youngest player in the league at present behind FC Metz’s Vincent Thill.

The early start to his career has naturally attracted interest from across Europe, as any young debutant is likely to receive, with scouts regularly keeping an eye on him.

According to L’Equipe there is specific interest from the Premier League with two teams in London particularly keen.

They are Arsenal and Watford, who have frequently sent their own men to make their own assessments.

They face stern competition for his signature, though, with both Serie A giants Juventus and Portuguese side Porto also named as interested parties.

He is also locked into a long-term deal at the Stade Municipal, with the club wisely having him signed to a deal until 2020 and already looking to secure an extension to that deal after his strong start.
