Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in Sandro Tonali despite him extending his AC Milan deal.

That is according to 90Min, who claim that a host of Premier League scouts watched Roma draw 1-1 with AC Milan on Saturday.

This one was full of late drama as Tammy Abraham thought he had given Roma a 1-0 win with a 94th minute goal.

Milan weren’t done though and hit back just three minutes later with Alexis Saelemaekers dramatically rescuing a point.

Tonali was seemingly one player scouted by Premier League clubs with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all keen.

Tonali played the full 90 minutes for Milan, featuring in a holding midfield role alongside Rade Krunic.

The 22-year-old has been a key player for Milan this season, starting 25 Serie A games whilst registering two goals and six assists.

Sandro Tonali an ambitious target for Arsenal and Tottenham

We can understand why Arsenal and Spurs fancy signing Tonali.

Arsenal are in the market for more midfielders this summer and have been linked with the likes of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo.

Tonali fits a similar kind of bill in the sense of being able to play as a holding midfielder and as a box-to-box player.

Tottenham need all the quality they can get and Tonali would certainly help bring more control than Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

It’s just hard to see Tonali leaving Milan any time soon.

The midfielder only signed a new contract with Milan back in September, committing himself to the club until 2027.

That deal does only give Tonali around £50,000-a-week, figures that Arsenal and Tottenham could certainly improve upon.

Milan is Tonali’s dream club though and we can’t quite see the ‘incredible’ midfielder heading to London this summer.
