Italian site La Repubblica claim Arsenal and Newcastle are ‘courting’ Napoli winger Hirving Lozano, with both clubs expected to be busy in the coming weeks – and Lozano failing to start regularly for Luciano Spalletti’s superb side.
Lozano, 27, has clocked up 20 games for first-placed Serie A side Napoli this season. But the Mexico star has only managed 10 starts this term, and has played 90 minutes on just two occasions. He has four goals and three assists.
Now, Lozano will not want to leave a Napoli side that only lost their first League game of the season on Wednesday. Not when a potential Serie A title is on the line. He will feel he should be starting. He did cost Napoli a huge £37m.
The report from La Repubblica stated that both Arsenal and Newcastle want to sign Lozano. They are ‘courting’ the Mexico star, but it is unclear how much Napoli would want for him. He has entered the final 18 months of his deal.
