According to Calciomercato, Arsenal and Manchester City are still keen on Lyon’s Houssem Aouar as Juventus step up their interest.
The Italian news outlet claims that Fabio Paratici – Juventus’ Sporting Director – is set to talk with the French side again about the midfield maestro.
Calciomercato state that Andrea Pirlo wants a young, quality midfielder added to his ranks, with Aouar the favourite.
According to the Guardian, Arsenal have already submitted a bid for the 1-cap France international.
Mikel Arteta’s side offered £35 million for the 22-year-old back in the summer, but it was swiftly rejected by the Ligue 1 outfit.
However, it still seems as if the Gunners have their heart set on signing Lyon’s No.8, as their interest hasn’t diminished.

Manchester City, as aforesaid, are also keen, and Aouar is a player who Pep Guardiola seems to adore.
As covered by the BBC, the former Barcelona boss described the Lyon maestro as an ‘incredible’ player.
So, what’s Lyon’s asking price for their playmaker?

Well, a recent report from Spanish outlet AS claimed that Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas has slapped a €60 million (£51.6 million) price tag on Aouar’s head.
Presumably, that wouldn’t be an issue for Manchester City.
However, it could potentially be more of a problem for Arsenal, who are unable to boast similar financial power to the Citizens.
