Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina is reportedly edging towards the St Mary’s exit.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Southampton received enquiries from the likes of Leicester City, Arsenal and Manchester United for Mario Lemina, with the midfielder being linked with leaving St Mary’s this summer.
Lemina’s future has been up in the air for a little while, and the Mail reports that the £18 million signing has now been left out of the Saints’ squad for their pre-season trip to Austria.
The Mail suggests that Hasenhuttl is open to letting Lemina leave this summer with the club looking to make their money back with the Gabon international still having around three years left on his contract on the south coast.
He may be leaving the Saints, but Lemina could still end up plying his trade in the Premier League next season, with the Mail adding that the Foxes, Gunners and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have all made enquiries for the former Juventus man.

It is a shame that Lemina appears to be edging closer to a move away from Southampton this summer. He is an outstanding talent when he is on form, and arguably has the potential to be the most influential player in Hasenhuttl’s squad.
His inconsistency has been an issue, and it appears that Hasenhuttl could see the potential £18 million boost to his transfer kitty as being more beneficial ahead of next season than having Lemina in his ranks. But it remains to be seen if one of his Premier League admirers is willing to meet Southampton’s valuation.
