Arsenal and Leeds United are looking at signing Marcos Paulo, TeamTalk suggest, but they are currently losing out to West Ham United in the race.
Arsenal, Leeds and West Ham are among a clutch of Premier League clubs competing for the attacker, who has caught the eye in Brazil.
Paulo is still only 19, but is very highly regarded at Fluminese and has a £40 million release clause.
Paulo made 18 appearances last term, and he managed to provide two goals and three assists.
It seems unlikely that Arsenal or Leeds would pay his release clause, although TeamTalk do not claim what sort of asking price Fluminese would be looking at.
Arsenal have already brought in a number of Brazilians in recent years, with Willian and Gabriel joining this summer.

Leeds, meanwhile, seem to have an eye on top young talent and Paulo is also on their radar.
Arsenal and Leeds may need to make their move quickly if they are to land the attacker though, as West Ham have already begun talks.
Paulo qualifies for a Portuguese passport, so he should have no problems making a move to England.
