Arsenal and Leeds United are both keen on Reading prospect Michael Olise, the Daily Mail claim.

Olise is said to be likely to leave Reading, with Arsenal and Leeds now competing with Wolverhampton Wanderers for his signature.

Olise has featured in all but one of the Royals’ games so far this season, and already has one goal and two assists to his name.

At the age of 18 he looks comfortable playing in the Championship already, and Arsenal and Leeds have been attracted to his displays.

With the domestic transfer deadline now edging closer, Mikel Arteta’s and Marcelo Bielsa’s side are both said to be considering moves.

Arsenal have already bolstered their midfield with the signing of Thomas Partey, but Olise’s arrival could add further depth to their options in the middle of the park.

Leeds, meanwhile, seem to be planning ahead – and they have signed a batch of teenaged prospects for the future in recent months already this summer.

Olise, who was described as ‘massively talented’ by former Reading boss Mark Bowen (Reading’s official website), may not impact on either of Arsenal’s or Leeds’ starting line-ups in the immediate future.

But the signs are that Olise could be a star in the years ahead, and as time passes, Arsenal and Leeds could snap up a bargain if they are able to land him in the next few days.
