Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser has been in the headlines after an impressive season but can the Cherries hold onto him in the summer?

According to a report from The Sun (Sunday, May 19th, page 63), Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser has refused to commit to a new deal at the club.

The Scot has been in fine form for the Cherries this season having scored eight goals and provided a further 15 assists in all competitions. His brilliant performances this campaign have attracted interest from Arsenal and Everton according to the report and Bournemouth will find it difficult to hold onto him.

Fraser’s contract with the Cherries expires at the end of next season and if Eddie Howe decides to not sell him this summer, Bournemouth will risk losing him for free next summer. Howe fears losing his star winger but the report reveals that he will accept any offer that comes in for him.

The Sun reports that Howe will prioritise keeping hold of his top scorer Callum Wilson who has also been of interest to other clubs in the league. The Cherries are planning to offer a new bumper deal to their star forward to fend off any interest from his suitors which is arguably a very smart move.

Fraser has immense potential and has the ability to succeed at the very top level. His incredible season combined with almost 100 games of experience in the Premier League makes him an attractive option for any side and Bournemouth are right to not get in his way this summer.

The Cherries are certain to make a huge profit if he is sold in the summer and Eddie Howe can use the money to strengthen other areas of his squad before the start of next season. Nathan Ake is also expected to be sold which further boosts Bournemouth’s transfer budget with which they can go all out to bolster their squad.
