According to France Football, Layvin Kurzawa has surprisingly been offered a new four-year deal by Paris Saint-Germain – and he now wants double his wages.

The left back is out of contract this summer, and it has long been expected that PSG would allow him to walk away for free rather than keep him.

That situation resulted in speculation surrounding Kurzawa’s potential destination. Just days ago, Le10 Sport claimed that Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring him to Everton on a free transfer.

Last month, Sport reported that Kurzawa was most attracted by a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners also keen to land him when his PSG deal ends on June 30th.

However, there has now been a twist. It’s stated that PSG suddenly want to give Kurzawa a new four-year deal, which has left him and his entourage completely stunned.

Kurzawa and co have now allegedly asked for double his wages in order to stay, and will give it until mid-July to try and thrash out a deal.

This report adds that Arsenal’s interest is ‘more relevant than ever’, as is Chelsea’s. Kurzawa now has a decision to make, though it’s hard to see him joining the Gunners.

They already have Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac, whilst Bukayo Saka’s remarkable versatility means he is an option at left back too.

Add in that the Gunners won’t be in a position to splash big money on wages this summer, and matching PSG’s offer seems hard to imagine – even if Mikel Arteta and co are interested.
