According to Le10 Sport, Arsenal and Everton are battling for the signature of Stade de Reims striker Boulaye Dia.
It’s claimed that Dia could have left Reims over the summer, but he didn’t receive an offer he liked, so decided to tay put.
Marseille have wanted him for over a year now, with Lyon also interested should Memphis Depay or Moussa Dembele end up leaving.
Now though, they find themselves in danger of missing out on Dia, as this report states that Everton and Arsenal are both keen.
Who is Boulaye Dia?
Dia isn’t exactly a well-known name, but the 24-year-old has been in superb form this season with eight goals in 12 league games.
A Senegal international, Dia has shown the pace to run in behind defences, but also the physicality to play with his back to goal and hold off defenders.

He’s been clinical from the penalty spot, and has proved a handful for Ligue 1 defences over the last year, with big things now expected for him moving forward.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal tend to cross the ball a lot, so adding a physical centre forward like Dia could make some sense, though much will depend on Folarin Balogun’s future.
Everton could be in the market for competition behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin, especially if Moise Kean ends up staying at Paris Saint-Germain – and Dia fits the bill.
