Henrikh Mkhitaryan produced incredible numbers for Borussia Dortmund over this past season, and is now the subject of intense transfer speculation.

German sports publication Bild are reporting that Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been the subject of two lucrative offers from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal.
The newspaper understands that the 27-year-old Armenian’s head has been turned after he got wind of the interest from the two English clubs, and is refusing to sign a new contract. His current deal is due to expire next summer.
Arsenal have already signed Swiss star Granit Xhaka and have been heavily linked with a whole host of Europe’s premier strikers. There have also been rumours that the Gunners are willing to let two of their wide attackers leave this summer, with Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain failing to impress over this past season.

That would leave a squad gap that Arsene Wenger would have to fill, and Mkhitaryan would be the ideal candidate. With just a year remaining on his current deal, the transfer fee needed to prize him away from Dortmund would not be extortionate, and would represent fantastic business.
Bild suggest that Chelsea actually submitted a £46 million bid for the Bundesliga star last summer, and are prepared to go back in for him during the off-season.

Mkhitaryan has enjoyed an incredible season with Dortmund. In 48 appearances for his club, he managed 18 goals and 20 assists. With figures like that, it is no wonder he is so highly coveted.
If the Armenian does end up leaving Germany, his destination will likely be governed by who offers him the most lucrative deal.
