Arsenal already have plans for other attacking midfielders they could sign, if Martin Odegaard’s move at the Emirates Stadium doesn’t work out, CBS report.

Odegaard is expected to join Arsenal today and the hope is that his move will be a rip-roaring success.

However, there are doubts over whether he will stick around at Arsenal for the long-term, as the club have no clause to make his move a permanent one.

Arsenal, therefore, are already making contingency plans and CBS say that they have done ‘extensive’ research on Emi Buendia, Housem Aouar and Marcel Sabitzer ahead of the summer.

Arsenal have already been linked with the trio in recent times, but Odegaard’s availability made him the most appealing option this month.

Arsenal only had a limited budget to spend and when Odegaard became available on loan, the Gunners moved quickly to seal a deal.

It seems that the club are not putting all their eggs in one basket, though.

And if Odegaard can’t be snapped up, Arsenal already have a list of three potential other playmaking targets they could bring in over the summer, which seems like smart planning.
