Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Declan Rice and beating the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United to the signing of the West Ham United midfielder.
The Guardian have reported that Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Manchester United all are keen on signing Declan Rice from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners “have been the most aggressive in attempting to buy” Rice, according to the report, which has added that the North London club are now “close to agreeing a fee with West Ham”.
While Arsenal are willing to pay £90 million for Rice, West Ham want add-ons that would take the total cost of the transfer to over £100 million.

The Guardian is one of the most reputable media outlets out there, and that they are now reporting that Arsenal are now closing in on the signing of Declan Rice is great news for the Emirates Stadium faithful.
Rice is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is only 24.
The England international can only get better in the coming years.
Described as “phenomenal” by his former West Ham teammate Mark Noble in The Manchester Evening News in May, Rice would make Arsenal better, more solid and more combative in the middle of the park.
