Jeunes Footeux report that Arsenal have add Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick to their summer shortlist. The Gunners want a forward and Leverkusen’s Schick has emerged as a target – with £50million required.
Schick, 26, has been in stunning form for Leverkusen this season. Missing just four of Leverkusen’s 24 league games this season, the 33-time Czech Republic international has a goal a game – boasting 20 in his 20 games.
Little surprise, that clubs are interested. The report claims Arsenal want him – with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract in June. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already left to join Barcelona, in January.
Alexander Isak, Dom Calvert-Lewin and Jonathan David have been linked – but Schick might be slightly cheaper. That is, according to Jeunes Footeux, who report that £50million would be enough for the ex-Leipzig man.
They do also report, that they are not the only Premier League club looking to bring Schick to the club – with Newcastle also said to be interested in the forward. He has a contract at Leverkusen until the summer of 2025.

In terms of goals, his age, his value, his calibre, his stature – Schick is the man. But where others have failed at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, is attitude. Schick has been known to be somewhat temperamental at times.
He is also a target man and it is rare you will see him chasing the channels, preferring to stay in the middle of the pitch in order to improve his chances of scoring goals. It works, this season is proof. But is he right for Arsenal?
