According to The Telegraph, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is tempted by a move to Liverpool, as he could play in his favoured central midfield role under Jurgen Klopp.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23, was billed as one of English football’s top young prospects during his time with Southampton, and after scoring ten goals in 41 games during the 2010-11 season, Arsenal snapped him up in the summer of 2011.
The England international has struggled to nail down a regular first-team place either out wide or in central midfield, but he has recently carved out a role as a right wing back in Arsene Wenger’s new 3-4-2-1 system.
With four assists in his last six games, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been productive of late, whilst his six goals this season is his best goal return since joining Arsenal almost six years ago.

However, with his contract set to expire in 2018 and no sign of a new deal being agreed, Arsenal must decide whether to cash in this summer or continue to try and agree a contract, risking losing him for nothing in a year.
Now, The Telegraph report that Oxlade-Chamberlain is in fact tempted by a move to Liverpool, and failure to agree a new contract with Arsenal could lead to him pushing for a switch to Anfield this summer.
Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp
It’s claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp wants to add Oxlade-Chamberlain to his side, and the lure of playing in his favoured central midfield position on a regular basis is believed to be a major factor for Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The report adds that whilst Oxlade-Chamberlain is entering the final year of his contract with Arsenal, Liverpool would still be expected to pay at least £25million to land him, with the latest rumours surely a major concern to the Gunners and their hopes of keeping Oxlade-Chamberlain at the Emirates Stadium.
